HEAD OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS 

 

This is an exciting opportunity which is being created to support the aspirations and ambitions of SCC’s business growth strategy.   Scottish Chambers of Commerce represents the interests of a network which comprises of 26 Chambers located across Scotland and part of a wider UK and International movement.

 

The post holder will be responsible for the development, management, implementation and overall performance of the day-to-day operations of the business.  This will include leading, developing and managing a team of professionals ensuring that all existing business contracts are surpassing expectations, as well as actively identifying new opportunities which will contribute to the growth of the SCC network.  The role will involve travel across Scotland and the United Kingdom.

 

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone who has the ambition and drive and exceptional business acumen, to thrive and succeed in a high-profile and growing organisation.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE MANAGER

 

The post holder will lead and support the development of the Network’s International Trade Services.   The role will encompass the co-ordination, management and development of partnerships with key stakeholders and customers, with the overall aim of developing a high quality, sustainable commercial business model.

 

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management of the Chamber network in Scotland and be part of the senior management team of SCC.  They will also liaise and develop strong partnerships with Government, other trade support organisations and the wider business community. 

 

Ideally the candidate will have experience in an international trade role, particularly a strong track record in building successful customer and partnership alliances.  This position will provide an exciting opportunity for the right individual to demonstrate creativity, innovation and testing out new business practices.

 

This role will involve travel across Scotland, United Kingdom and may extend to participation in international trade missions, seminars and associated meetings and visits.

EVENTS & MARKETING EXECUTIVE 

 

We are looking for an Events & Marketing Executive to join our growing team based in Glasgow. This role will assist with organising events and meetings and implementing marketing plans to promote a range of events.

 

This role will provide the successful candidate with hands-on experience in Events and Marketing and provide the opportunity to pick up key skills in sales, marketing & social media.

 

You will be responsible for organising and managing events as part of a team, so you’ll need strong communication, sales and administrative skills and be an excellent organiser. The ability to work within tight deadlines and budgets is essential. You should also be able to work on your own initiative and be able to write blogs and articles to promote events, so strong attention to detail will be important.

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE EXECUTIVE 

 

Scottish Chambers of Commerce is looking for a Business Intelligence Executive to join our growing team based in Glasgow. This role would be the first port of call when it comes to carrying out research and presenting economic and business information. This role will play an important role in the wider External Relations Division for carrying out analysis on membership opinions & business views, producing economic briefings and delivering presentations utilising business and economic data.

 

In addition, the post-holder will also engage with our wide network of customers including businesses, media and politicians, so a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to meet new people is a must!
