The subject of Scottish independence is more topical than ever creating an emotive debate on the feasibility of an independent Scotland. However, it is easy to overlook that greater powers are already flowing to Scotland through the Scotland Bill and proposed reforms to corporation tax. The Bill will receive Royal Assent in April 2012 and will be implemented in April 2015.

The Scotland Bill will make comprehensive changes to the way the Scottish Parliament is funded and proposes the largest transfer of fiscal power from London since the creation of the United Kingdom. The Scottish Parliament will move from raising 15% of its own budget to approximately 35%.

Devolving corporate tax powers is likely to be a very complex affair and while it may increase inbound investment, it could also result in administrative issues and changes for Scottish business.

What will this mean for Scottish business?  Will it attract more investment to Scotland? How could it affect your business?

Join us for an interactive debate as we look at the impact of the Scotland Bill and proposed corporation tax reforms on the Scottish business community.
