SCOTTISH CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE LOOK FORWARD TO ACTION ON DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE
[ 31-01-2012 ]
The Scottish Chambers of Commerce have welcomed today’s publication of the Scottish Government’s new Digital Action Plan. Scottish Chambers’ of Commerce Chief Executive Liz Cameron commented:
“It is good to see evidence that the Scottish Government, firstly, recognise digital connectivity is a key element of Scotland’s infrastructure, just as are our roads and railways.
“Secondly, the published plan also recognises business as a key stakeholder in both implementing improved digital connectivity, and also using it to ensure that Scotland reaps the economic benefits of investment in improved digital communications technology.
“Scottish Chambers of Commerce are fully supportive of accelerating the rollout of advanced digital technology to benefit all of Scotland, and look forward to working with the other stakeholders involved to make sure it happens as quickly as possible. Now we have the plan on paper, let’s get down to making it happen.”
