2026 USA Trade Mission
In partnership with the Scottish Government, Glasgow Chamber and Moray Chamber, SCC is delivering a trade mission from 6th April – 11th April, 2026 focused on building direct commercial connections between Scottish businesses and US companies seeking new trading opportunities in New York, Pittsburgh and Boston.
Day 01 – Arrival and Market Orientation – New York
1. Welcome Briefing and US Market Overview
An introduction to the mission, key opportunities in the US, business culture guidance and expectations for the week.
2. Scottish Government and SCC Joint Opening Session
Strategic overview of Scotland–US trade links and priority growth sectors.
3. Evening Reception
Hosted by New York City Economic Development Corporation.
Day 02 Business Growth and B2B Engagement – New York
1. Curated B2B Meetings
One-to-one introductions with potential partners, buyers, distributors or collaborators aligned to each delegate’s sector.
2. Visit to Innovation or Industry Hub
Examples could include Newlab, Brooklyn Navy Yard or sector-specific accelerators.
3. Cocktail Reception and Supper Club
Build connections with New York-based chambers, trade groups and professional networks such as American Scottish Foundation and British-American Business Association
Day 03 – Commercial Insight and Showcase Opportunities – New York
1. Business Pitch or Showcase Session
Delegates present their business to a panel of advisors, investors or partners for feedback and visibility.
2. Media and Storytelling Workshop
How to communicate your value in the US market, refine your pitch and position your brand.
3. Networking Reception with Scottish Business Community in NYC
Meet diaspora leaders, investors and executives already trading or operating in the US.
1. Delegate Breakfast
Breakfast with GlobalScots – to be confirmed
2. Tartan Day Parade at 2pm
Day 05 –Transfer
1.Transfer to Pittsburgh or Boston as preferred and informal group welcome
Day 06 & 07 – Business Meetings in Chosen Destination
Delegates consolidate opportunities, identify potential routes to market and map follow-up actions.
Review key learnings, confirm follow-up support and outline post-mission assistance and relationship-building.
