Benefits, Barriers, and Insights on paying the real Living Wage

Date Event: 12/11/2020 Published by: Forth Valley Address: Online

Join Living Wage Scotland and Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce to find out how the real Living Wage can fit into a post-covid recovery.

Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce celebrates Living Wage Scotland’s 3-year anniversary of becoming an accredited Living Wage employer during Living Wage Week 2020.

Employers are invited to join our online event in partnership with Living Wage Scotland, to learn more on where the real Living Wage fits into a post-covid recovery, and to hear from fellow employers on their experience of becoming a Living Wage accredited business.

Suitable for all employers, including those thinking about implementing the real Living Wage, as well as those already accredited, who want to maximise the benefits from their Living Wage status.

The real Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually. The Living Wage is calculated according to the real costs of living, with the new rate announced on 9th Nov 2020.

Over 1800 Scottish employers have chosen to pay the real Living Wage on a voluntary basis. Living Wage Scotland work with employers across Scotland, supporting them in their journey to becoming accredited, and promoting them as best practice employers.

The event will cover the benefits of the real Living Wage for business, for workers and for society, and will provide useful and honest insights from employers that have already embedded the rate in their wage model.

13.30 – 15.00
