SCC welcomes Scottish Government’s US Export Plan
Commenting on the Scottish Government’s US Export Plan, Scottish Chambers of Commerce Chief Executive Charandeep Singh BEM said:
“The United States is one of Scotland’s most important economic partners, with a relationship built on centuries of trade, investment, and the exchange of ideas. From Scottish pioneers who helped shape America’s growth to the businesses driving transatlantic commerce today, the ties between our nations run deep.
“The opportunities available to Scottish firms in the US market are significant. By focussing effort on the states and sectors where Scotland’s strengths align with demand, this plan can help more businesses translate export potential into commercial success.
“The next Scottish exporter may already be running their business today, with the products, services, and expertise to succeed in the US market, but without the confidence, knowledge, or connections needed to take that first step. This plan can help bridge that gap and support more Scottish firms to grow internationally.
“SCC looks forward to working closely with the Scottish Government, our Chamber Network, and partners on both sides of the Atlantic to help deliver the plan’s ambitions and support further growth in Scottish exports to the US.”
