Scottish Chambers announces leading Scots entrepreneur, Roisin Currie CBE, Greggs CEO, as Keynote Speaker at flagship Annual Business Address

02-10-2025

Roisin Currie CBE, Greggs Chief Executive, has been announced as the headline speaker for the Scottish Chambers of Commerce’s Annual Business Address, taking place on Thursday 27 November 2025.

The event will bring together over 600 distinguished guests from across Scotland and beyond, including leaders from industry, business, and politics.

The evening will focus on unlocking growth for Scottish business and will give a rare opportunity to hear from leading entrepreneur Roisin Currie. She has been instrumental in driving Greggs’ rapid expansion, with the company on track to double sales by 2026 following record-breaking results in 2024. Her leadership emphasises the strong internal culture shared by 33,000 colleagues – something she sees as central to Greggs’ continued success.

Dr Liz Cameron CBE, Director & Chief Executive, Scottish Chambers of Commerce said:

“I’m thrilled to welcome Roisin Currie as our headline speaker for this year’s Annual Business Address. This promises to be our largest and most impactful event yet, and I’m confident Roisin’s leadership, experience and tenacity will resonate deeply with our audience.”

“In times of uncertainty, when businesses are facing real challenges, it is vital we raise the spirits of the business community by hearing from inspiring voices across the UK. Roisin is a true leader, with over 2,600 Greggs shops trading nationwide employing over 33,000 people, and her insights will offer both inspiration and practical value. We look forward to welcoming her this November.”

Roisin Currie CBE, Chief Executive, Greggs, added:

“I am delighted to attend this year’s Annual Business Address in my home town of Glasgow. The Scottish Chambers of Commerce is an invaluable organisation that truly champions business of all sizes and sectors. I look forward to meeting their members at the event.”
